Y'all look like one of those couples that would be on FarmersOnly.com

Here at FarmersOnly.com, we love hearing y'alls so sweet love stories. Marissa chatted with us about her husband Lee, who she met on FarmersOnly.

Where are y'all from?Lee lived in Warner Robins, Georgia and I lived in Albany, Georgia. We both now live in our home that we purchased together last year in Fort Valley, Georgia.

What did you do on your first date? There was about 100 miles in between us, so we met in the middle in Cordell, Georgia. We ate dinner around 7 and then sat on the tail fate of his truck talking until after midnight. The only reason we went home was because it started raining.

When did you know that he was the one?The night I met him, i pretty much knew he was the one. We met on a Wednesday, then he drove down to see me on Sunday and after that we spent every weekend together until I found a job in Warner Robins and moved. I did this after only four months together. We said the "L" word after only two weeks... we both admit to knowing we loved one another from the start.

What is your favorite thing about him?I can't name just one! He has the biggest heart, but yet, he's the stronger person I know. He works hard for a living, so his hands are rough and calloused. I love that. One of my most favorite things about him though is his voice. That sounds silly, but I love to hear him talk and sing. I knew he was a singer before I ever heard him talk. He sent me some videos of him singing. So, I knew he had a beautiful singing voice, but I didn't know what he sounded like when he spoke. After meeting on FarmersOnly, we texted back and forth for a couple of days. When we finally spoke on the phone, I fell in love with the sound of his voice. He has this "radio" voice. It's so clear and yet has a slight Southern draw to it. To this day, I love to listen to him talk. His voice has a calming effect on me.

Anything else?I have a funny story about us and FarmersOnly. Last year, about a month after we got married, we decided to go buy Lee a new kayak. It was time for an upgrade. (We love kayaking). So, we paid for it and pulled our truck up front, so the sales associate could load it. The kayak was longer than the truck bed, so I climbed up and got a strap out of the toolbox while Lee proceeded to strap his new kayak down. The sales associate looked at us and said "I hope you guys don't take offense to this, but I have to say it. Y'all look like one of those couples that would be on FarmersOnly.com." We did laughed. I said, "Well actually, that's exactly where we met, and we just got married less than a month ago!" He hit the nail on the head!

Congratulations on your marriage Marissa and Lee! We wish you love, and happiness, and great kayaking trips, for all the rest of your days!
