They just celebrated their one year wedding anniversary

I just wanted to share a success story. My husband and I met on farmers only. A friend suggested I sign up and a cousin of my husband signed him up without him knowing it. We were both involved in agriculture before and now we farm and ranch together in Missouri. We just celebrated our first year anniverary and everyone loves our story and can’t believe we met on this site! But its true! We found common interests together, found out we have common backgrounds, and are enjoying a great time of it! Just wanted to share! - Rachel. What towns/states are y'all from? Rachel's from Collinsville, Oklahoma, Paul's from Eldridge, Missouri.

What did you do on your first date? Went on a picnic, shot some guns, and talked for about 6 hours that day!

When did you know that he was the one? The first time I gave him a haircut before we were even engaged and I almost blurted out "I love you!"

How did he propose? Paul surprised me with a sunset dinner at my favorite spot on the farm, on the top of a prairie meadow hill in Afton, Oklahoma that has been in the family for several generations. He got down on one knee and I was in shock for the next 30 minutes before I said yes. (Obviously I was surprised.)

What is your favorite thing about each other? My favorite thing about Paul is that he is even-tempered, he doesn't get upset easily and takes things in stride, making us a great match. Paul's favorite thing about Rachel is her beautiful blue eyes.

First date, engagement, marriage. 7 months.

received_1696080100434645 Core and I met via FarmersOnly on Sunday March 5th 2017, had our first date March 6th, were engaged Easter Sunday and married on September 30th... just over two months ago. I was the first person he talked to that night and he was my second. Thank you FarmersOnly!

What towns/states are y'all from? We now live in Snow Hill, North Carolina where I moved just before we got married.

What did you do one your first date? We went out to eat then took a walk around Fatmville NC where he grew up and went ti school.  His grandfather ran a barbershop there.

When did you know that they were the one? The first week we were together we knew. He took me to a family birthday party on our sixth date. On our fifth date we went to a place called Carolina Ale House where we watched a Tarheels playoff game (basketball) and for the first time told me "you ain't right and can't get right" -  I was hooked. We fell hard and fast after that.

How did he ask you to marry him? He got down on his knee and proposed on Easter Sunday at the Botanical Gardens in Wilson, North Carolina where I lived.

What is your favorite thing about them? He is funny, hard working, kind and cares so much for me. He is my best friend... and his beard!

They started talking the same day he joined FarmersOnly.com

I joined FarmersOnly October 21, 2015, my fiance joined October 30, 2015. We became exclusive immediately. He is from Canada, I'm American. I am in the process of relocating to Canada as we are going to be married. I can't say enough how grateful I am that a friend of mine introduced me to FarmersOnly as that is where she met her husband as well (they now have two little ones). - Becky

What towns/states are y'all from? Trev is from British Columbia, Canada; I am from Portland, Oregon USA.

What did you do one your first date? We began talking October 30th, 2015.  We first met in person December 4, 2015 in Ashford, Washington at a romantic rustic lodge.  We spent our time talking, going on long walks, going out to dinner and watching romantic movies.  We truly felt like we had known each other forever.

When did you know that they were the one? Trev was going over the profiles clicking the "thumbs down" over and over with all of the American profile/pictures as he truly thought, "What's the point, too far away". But when my profile/picture came up he literally leaned back in his chair for a few minutes and said, "there she is, there she is". He said he recognized me. He knew at that moment I was his person and it wouldn't have mattered where I was from.

When I first saw Trev's profile I was completely drawn to him. Not only was he the most handsome man I had ever seen but everything he valued was the exact same as me. From the moment we said hi on FarmersOnly, we both knew we were meant to be together.

What is your favorite thing about each other? Trev and I talked extensively about this question. If Trev had to choose one favorite thing about me it would have to be my heart, "as it is the purest, warmest, most genuine, compassionate and loving heart I've ever known". I too would have to say his heart. He has the kindest, most loving, honest, thoughtful and romantic heart I've ever known.

When we met on FarmersOnly, our hearts were immediately drawn to each other, so much so that less than 2 weeks of first meeting online, we both developed a very strong ache that we could not explain it. It was something we had never experienced before. One night while talking, he mentioned the ache he had been feeling, deep in his chest, it was unbelievable because I was feeling the exact same thing! What we realized at the time was that we were deeply in love. What's the most amazing part is when we met in person for the first time the ache went away within minutes of seeing each other. Trev even made a YouTube video for me for our one year anniversary using the song, "Ache" by James Carrington.

Trev and I truly are soul mates, our chemistry is out of this world. We literally are like one person. We finish each other's thoughts and know exactly what the other is thinking. We connect on a level that is literally out of this world.

Love in south Texas

Screenshot_20171029-150937I joined farmersonly.com after I got a divorce with my first husband in April 2015. My mother suggested I try the site so I could find someone I had more in common with than my first marriage. I grew up in rural Idaho hunting and fishing my entire life and had just moved to Texas in November 2014 to help my parents. I didnt know alot of people in my new state and figured it was worth a try. I connected with Jeff on May 3rd 2015 and we instantly hit it off from the first time we went on a date. Our wedding is next year on November 2nd 2018. We delayed it because we got pregnant during our engagement. Our baby girl is 9 months old now. - Brittany

Where are y'all from? Jeffrey is from Pearsall, TX and I am from Orofino Idaho but was living in Blanco, TX when we met - living about 85 miles apart.

What did you do one your first date? Our first date actually lasted about 12 hours, we just couldn't get enough of each other! We started with a lunch date at a small restaurant then we went to the San Antonio Zoo for a few hours then we saw a movie together and once the movie was over we sat in his truck and talked and watch funny videos on our phones. At the end of the night, we were way past due to be home and our families were worried about us, he leaned over and asked "is this the part where i get to give the pretty girl a kiss goodnight?" And i gave him a peck on the lips cause what girl wouldnt melt when a handsome man says that to you after a wonderful date?

When did you know that they were the one? I think I realized he was the one very shortly after we started dating. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for a major highway construction company. He would have to travel from location to location across Texas. After about 3 months of us dating he was dispatched to WAY south Texas and we had a choice of 1) stop dating because the distance would be to far and we would never be able to see each other or 2) move in with him and wing it. Well i knew that losing him wasnt an option so we moved in with each other and we couldnt have been happier.

How did he ask you to marry him? He asked me to marry him exactly 1 year of us dating. On May 3rd, 2016 we were on a carnival cruise to the western carribean celebrating our anniversary. He set up a dinner reservation at the fanciest restaurant on board and proposed to me after dinner. All the staff came out and took pictures and video and gave us champagne. The rest of the cruise was ro celebrate our engagement.

What is your favorite thing about him? My favorite things about him - he is smart, handsome, caring, a little bit of a romantic, and a very genuine honest person. A lot of his best qualities are hard to come by nowadays in my opinion.

Cattle, Race Cars, and Fishing...

Matt and I started messaging back and forth on Farmers Only in October 2012. After 5 months of talking and Skyping he drove to Indiana so we could meet for the first time. After doing the long distance relationship of Oklahoma to Indiana for 3 years we were married June 27, 2015. We have been happily married ever since. Thanks to FarmersOnly I found my perfect match. - Greta. What towns/states are y'all from? I am from Paoli, Indiana. He is from Newkirk, Oklahoma.

What did you do on your first date? I was in college and the University of Indianapolis for Matt's first trip to visit. On our first date we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner then went to a bar for drinks. He told me then that if I ever wanted to marry him I was going to have to learn how to 2 step. So that night, on the dance floor, I learned how to 2 step. Of course at the time he had no idea that wouldn't actually matter.

When did you know that they were the one? There wasn't just one moment for either of us when we knew. It was a lot of different moments that meshed into the moment of "I'm going to marry that guy." We enjoy a lot of the same things so a lot of those times played a role in us realizing the other person was our one. Matt has been drag racing for some time and it's something I enjoy doing with him, whether it's working in the shop on trucks and the car or traveling to a race. Fishing is also something that helped forge our love. Doing those little things together are our time without ranch work or cattle to interfere.

What is your favorite thing about them? Greta: There are a lot of things I love about Matt but the best part is that he allows me to be independent while always being there if I need him. Even though he lets me be independent he will stand up to me and be my reality check when I need it.

Matt: I guess one of my favorite things about Greta is her interest and enjoyment of racing. She's at almost every track night or race and is always there to support me good or bad.  She's always there to help with cattle or whatever else is going on.
