She thought it was over after the first date

My fiancé, James, and I met on FarmersOnly. We have so much in common and sometimes finish each other’s sentences. I was raised on a small ranch with cows and tractors and such on about 100 acres. I teased him when we first started dating because he hadn’t worked cows before or driven a tractor and of course I have. I called him my coastal country boy. Now he helps my family on the farm and loves it. He is now my coastal cowboy! <3. - Brandi

What did you do on your first date?

Our first date was February 6, 2016. It was the day of the Super Bowl. We watched the game and he played his guitar for me. ❤️❤️

When did you know that he was the one?

I’m not sure? I didn’t think it would go anywhere after the first date, but I was wrong! It was most likely shortly after we met, maybe a month or so. We have so many things in common and turned out we have a mutual friend.

How did he propose?

He took me home to Yoakum, Texas where I grew up. He told my parents he was going to propose so they knew. I kind of had an idea he was going to do it because I knew when the rings were going to be delivered which was on April 4, 2018 (the same day he proposed). He took me to my parent's pasture and parked by their fish tank. He wanted to feed the fish so we brought fish food with us. I was driving his truck. He got out before me and I met him at the tailgate. I was reaching for the fish food and was picking my teeth with a toothpick. He proposed simply. Right then he knelt down, said my full name and of course asked if he could marry me.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

We have so much fun together it’s hard to say. We have a natural vibration, a strong chemistry and both have a sense of humor and we get one another.

It was love at first sight

I found my husband, Michael, on your site and I am greatly appreciative. - Penny

What did you do on your first date?
We watched a movie.

When did you know that he was the one?
The minute that I first saw him in person, I just knew.

How did he propose?
Michael asked if I would ever marry again, when I said yes, he asked me.

What is your favorite thing about each other?
The way we get along.

He puts her first and is a true gentleman

“I wanted to share with y’all that myself and my now husband are a success story from FarmersOnly. I was a member I believe I started it in May 2017. My now husband Larry Smith was also a member. He sent me a message “I think you’re pretty” I responded “Is that right?” after that we talked and talked we exchanged numbers he came down from Dallas to Houston area to meet me, we moved in and got married on October 7th, 2018. Thank you to Farmers Only for helping me find my soulmate, my best friend, my partner, husband and one day, the father of our children!!” - Rachel

What did you do on your first date?
Our first date was actually him coming into town to my house after having shoulder surgery. To take care of me before he had to leave to go back on the road. He’s an 18-wheeler driver.

When did you know that he was the one?
It’s funny because we’re both Pisces and do a lot of things the same. I know when he showed me every day and still to this day that I’m his number 1. Treats me great!!

How did he propose?
It was a mutual agreement between us both. We went down, filed with court and had 90 days to plan and get it done.

What is your favorite thing about each other?
He puts me first, he’s a true gentleman, shows his love all the time. I’m sure he would say my taking care of our financial stuff and always thinking about him.

They "Just Knew"

So here we are, writing a success story after just a few months of knowing one another. Mark and I met on FarmersOnly. I’m a farmer, full-time with my dad. I’m also an accomplished model, actress, and published scientific researcher. Farmers have varying backgrounds, and I wish more people could see that we know how to dress and have all of our teeth. I came back to the farm because no one else is here to take over; I’ve farmed all my life, even during the other careers. I decided to get onto FarmersOnly, frankly, because, well... why not? I didn’t have anything to lose, and thought it would be nice to meet someone else with like-minded interests, and hopefully find a man who is more manly than myself. I’ve always been the man in the relationship, simply because I grew up performing more male-oriented tasks. I was on FarmersOnly for maybe a few weeks, decided to meet up with Mark. He has a “hobby farm” in Rolla, MO. We met halfway in St. Louis (I’m from Winchester, IL) and we had the best first date we’ve ever had with anyone.

We knew, on our first date, that we were “the one” for one another. We couldn’t wait to see each other again, and have been inseparable ever since. We told each other that we loved one another on our third date. I’m 35, & Mark is turning 40 in a couple of weeks. We met the female/male versions of ourselves. We are exactly alike, and not related, which is a huge plus. ;) We are both vey sarcastic, and massive goofballs. We have never been married before, and made of people who said there was such a thing as a “soulmate.” Well, we were wrong, there is a such a thing. Mark and I were made for one another.

We were already discussing getting married, something happened in the family, and we simply bumped up our plans to tie the knot. We got married June 8, 2019. It doesn’t seem like it’s only been since the middle of January this year, but when you know, you know. We joke that we are those old people that talk about the
day they met their match and that they “just knew.”

He proposed to me, in one of my cattle pastures, on the site where we will be building our home.

Mark and I both owe you a huge “thank you” because we found one another. So thank you. - Jenny

Even their trucks were a perfect match...

Thank you to FarmersOnly for helping me meet my soulmate! - Nancy

What did you do on your first date?

Jeff and I first contacted each other December 23, 2018. It seemed we had known each other for a long time, then we met face to face December 27. We were to meet at a restaurant of my choice but I took a wrong turn. He was in the parking lot thinking I had ditched him until I called and said I was lost. He so sweetly guided me to his location and we found the restarting was actually closed! He followed me to McDonald’s where we sat for three hours and talked over ice tea. Neither one of us wanted to leave but it was late. When we were at our separate homes, we texted each other till wee hours of the morning.

When did you know that he was the one?

We knew we were meant to be together, even our autos were telling us. We both have the same year, make, model and color of truck! Everything has been so spot on with this relationship that we were wed June 1.

If i hadn’t listened to a joking coworker about trying farmersonly, I wouldn’t have my love, my best friend!
Thank you FarmersOnly!!!!

He met her dad on the first date

I met my husband, Travis, on Farmers Only -August 2017, we went on our first date October 20, 2017 and were married October 20, 2018! - Cassie

What did you do on your first date?

I made him pick me up at my parents house and meet my dad on the very first night! We had talked on the phone for a couple of months before we went out! We had dinner at Texas Roadhouse followed by Dave & Busters! We ended up not even playing any games and talked until the bar closed!

When did you know that he was the one?

I knew he was the one that very first night! When he kissed me goodnight, it was like everything in the world stopped and that was our moment.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Travis loves my kindness and compassion for others. My heart is huge and full of gold. I love Travis’s drive and how he constantly does things to remind me of how much he loves me.

Tell us about your wedding!

Our wedding was held on the one year anniversary of our first date. It was small and intimate with lots of lace and sunflowers. It was a gorgeous fall day. Your typical Kansas farmers wedding. It was held in a small Christian Church with all of our close friends and family.

D01D31C1-F5DD-4BDE-90A4-D93B395B4A26.JPG

It all started with a smiley face

“Greg and I started talking on farmers only May 04, 2015. The  "fate" of it all according to Greg was, he has just signed up for his account on the day 3 hours prior. He just started his membership. On the other hand, it was my last day for my membership on Farmers Only and had decided not to renew for a month or so. I remember his profile stood out to me and I liked his fishing picture. I sent him a smiley face and we hit it off from there. We continued to talk daily, going on dates and hanging out. Then, February 14, 2016, Greg asked me to marry him. We were married on leap day, February 29, 2016 in Vegas by "Elvis". Today, we have been married for 3 years and have been the happiest ever! It's my happily ever after! Thank you, Farmers Only!” - Tonya

What did you do on your first date?

Walking along the river and dinner at Applebees

When did you know that he was the one?

I knew after our date the second week to Tennessee, that he was the one.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

My favorite thing about him is his character.  He is giving, loving and understanding.

His favorite thing about me would be, my spontaneity.

They got engaged on a very special day

“Jeff and I met in April of 2018 on FarmersOnly. We hit it off right away and plan to be married this summer. People tend to laugh at us meeting on the site but hey, it works!! I would have NEVER met him otherwise. I even moved a state over to be with him. You just never know. He’s the love of my life.” - Candace

What did you do on your first date?

Our first date was not much to write home about as far as glamour is concerned. We’d been talking a few days and my aunt has passed away. Jeff absolutely insisted on driving two hours one way to comfort me. Of course I was worried about him being some type of crazy but he showed up and wasn’t. He sat with me on the couch and listened to me talk and cry. My four rambunctious children were there too. They were teasing us. I was shocked when he actually agreed to meet up a few days later. We met half-way and enjoyed dinner together. It was more of a date. I’ll always appreciate Jeff for sacrificing sleep to come to comfort me. He was so gracious that night.

When did you know that he was the one?

A few weeks or so into our relationship Jeff and I were talking on the phone. He paused and suddenly blurted out, “I know you will think I’m crazy and I know I shouldn’t probably say this but I’m going to say it, I love you!” I wasn’t ready for it. I knew he was an awesome man and I knew he and I had chemistry and compatibility but the “L” word so soon baffled me. I was glad he said it but worried all at the same time. I had gone through a divorce prior so I was proceeding with caution. It honestly was the hardest thing to process. Shortly after I realized he was the one. He accepted me, my kids and my situation. He was handsome, caring and proved he loved me.

How did he propose? Were you surprised?

May 19th of 2018 while sitting in his truck in front of his cousins house Jeff shared his desire to marry me. He had a ring, it was beautiful! I made it known I wanted to marry him too. The catch was I was not legally divorced as my divorce took forever to finish. We decided to keep our intent a secret until things were officially finished with my divorce. I fully believe in signs and that day, May 19th happened to be my parents wedding anniversary. My dad passed away in 2016 and this year they would have celebrated 40 years together. Jeff had no idea what that day meant to me. I saw this as a sign, perhaps my fathers blessing. Fast forward to April 1st 2019 after he had asked my mother for my hand and properly proposed (down on one knee, exposing his heart) Jeff and I made it “Facebook Official”. His was one year to the day that Jeff inboxed me on Farmer’s Only. Jeff and I just knew from an early point that this was going to be a long term thing. I wasn't surprised by the proposal but he still surprises me with how patient he is and how he just takes so much in stride.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

My very favorite thing about Jeff is his sense of humor. He’s so funny! He can make me laugh at the most crazy things. He says his favorite thing about me is my kindness and happy demeanor.

Tell us more about your wedding plans!

We are planning a small wedding in Rogers, Arkansas. We had planned a family vacation as his family lives in that area and decided a destination wedding would be fun. We will be surrounded by our closest family and a few dear friends. It will be small and intimate. We will have our children (5 between the two of us) stand up with us and our mothers will be our witnesses (our children are all under 18). We have rented a beautiful lake house on Beaver Lake. We plan to wed in a meadow facing the lake. I cannot think of a more fitting venue. Jeff loves nature and fishing. I also love the outdoors. I cannot wait to marry my best friend.

He asked her dad first...

They met 3 years ago and have started the cutest family...

“My now fiancé, Colton, and I first started chatting on FarmersOnly around this time 3 years ago! Since we started dating we were blessed with 2 beautiful boys and we are now engaged!!! I just wanted to say thank you FarmersOnly for helping me find my best friend and soul mate.” - Ashley

What did you do on your first date?

We went to eat at a Mexican restaurant on the river and chatted for a few hours to get to know one another and then I had to go home because I had work early the next morning.

When did you know that he was the one?

I knew about 2 months in, he got along great with my daughter and then a few weeks into our 3rd month dating we found out we were pregnant with our first son.

We went to my favorite winery in Lolita, Texas (Lavaca Bluffs) for my birthday and he wrapped the box as one of my gifts and waiting until the very end and proposed to me in front of all of our friends and family.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

I love how hard working and honest he is, and he loves how caring and selfless I am, we are total opposite in personality at times but that makes us so much stronger as a whole .

Ashley and Colton Baker.jpg

His proposal was quite the surprise...

I was a member back in 2016 after my husband left me and my four month old son. My family experienced quite a few unexpected heartbreaks including the death of my grandmother and brother-in-law. I knew I had no desire to go back to him, I just wanted to move on. I met Bryce on FarmersOnly, he lived 45 minutes from my home. We talked for a few weeks. We found out we had sooo much in common, and we decided to meet. We spent a wonderful evening together, and we haven't had a desire to look elsewhere since! We both love the outdoors, country music, hunting... we complete one another. - Misty

What did you do on your first date?

On our first date Bryce came to my house and we watched a movie after I cooked a homemade meal for him. Probably not the most traditional first date, but we had been talking for about a month, learned we had a mutual friend, so I wasn't concerned about having him over to my home. We were more than content with a home-made meal and a movie.

When did you know that he was the one?

I knew he was the one after only a few weeks of dating. He wanted to meet my son, and he wanted my son to go out to dinner with us! He was very easy-going, and we had sooo many common interests-the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and common goals including a family and living the simple life!

How did he propose? Were you surprised?

He proposed at HIS surprise 30th birthday party that I had planned for him, so of course I was surprised! His mother brought the ring along to the party because she knew family and friends would be present. The proposal happened September, 29th 2018.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

My favorite thing about him is that he is so thoughtful and is always out to make me happy however he can. He is very affectionate and will show his appreciation for me even in public-I wasn't accustomed to this! He is a volunteer firefighter and selfless. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needs it.

His favorite thing about me is that I am "an amazing mother," and I wanted the family lifestyle-the same as him. (Common goals.) He also loves that I am easy-going, and it doesn't take much to make me happy.

Tell us more about your wedding plans!

Our wedding date is October 26th, 2019- a little over one year after our engagement! We are getting married at his family's small, country church. We are planning a fairly large wedding with 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen. My son is our ring bearer and his niece is our flower girl. The reception will be a rustic atmosphere at the local Grange Fair grounds. We have plans for almost 200 guests to share the day with us! We plan for our first dance to be Shanendoah's "I Want to Be Loved Like That."

Favorite thing about each other? EVERYTHING.

Over the past few years I have tried several dating sites, but struggled finding someone I could really connect to. I had become extremely frustrated and tired of dating, so I deleted my account on the app I was currently using. I was going to give dating a break altogether. I had made an account on Farmer's Only once, years ago, but I've never lived on a farm or in the country. I was just on there because I am drawn to the outdoors, and I appreciate the value of hard work. I wanted a partner who felt the same-- I thought a farmer or country man would probably have similar interests. I quickly deleted my account because I felt like a fraud. However, Christmas day of last year, a Farmer's Only commercial convinced me to give it another shot. I created an account that night and the very next morning, I met the man I had been searching for.  - Cailee.

What did you do on your first date?

Our first date was anything but traditional. We wanted to meet as soon as possible, but he was living in Seattle at the time because of his job and I live in Southern California. So we waited it out for three weeks until it was time for him to come back Sacramento. However, he didn’t have an apartment in Sacramento until 3 days before it was time for him to return. The day he made the 16 hour drive to his new apartment, I made the much shorter 7 hour drive to meet him in Sacramento. So for our “first date” I helped him move into his new place! I was glad to help and we were just so happy to see each other, it didn’t matter what we were doing. I was in Sacramento for 7 days. We ran errands, shopped for furniture, found local places for good food and coffee, we went bowling, played pool, and had an absolute blast.

When did you know that he was the one?

I had a feeling he was the one pretty much right away. I was immediately and completely smitten. My feelings were confirmed after our first phone call. We both began hinting at how strong our feelings were for one another within a week. It hadn’t been but 10 days when we started talking about marriage and our future children, but we saved the first “I love you” until we met in person. It may sound ridiculous, but when you know, you know.

How did he propose? Were you surprised?

Cheyne’s proposal was very sweet. The first day we started texting, I mentioned that I was going on a picnic with a friend. He suggested that we go on a picnic someday because we both always wanted to do so with a significant other, but never experienced it. So after I visited him in Sacramento twice, he flew down to see me and we went on a hike and had a picnic. I knew he was going to propose very soon, because we had already talked about it and we looked at rings together. But I didn’t know when exactly it would happen, so that part was a surprise. We were all alone on a beautiful day, on my favorite trail, having a lovely time. It was very thoughtful and special. I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Our favorite things about each other? I read that question to my fiancé and we simultaneously said “uh, everything!”  Getting deeper, we have both always desired someone who shares our faith. That had been the #1 priority when it came to finding a spouse, so I’d say our favorite thing about each other is that we can grow together in Christ.

Alan and I had our first date we met at the Green Bay Packers stadium in Green Bay, WI as we are both great Packers Fans!!  He drove over from Tomahawk which is about 2 1/2 hours away and I drove from Pound, WI which is only 45 minutes.  He bought us tickets to do the stadium tour and while we were waiting for the tour to start we had a drink and yummy cheese curds and talked.  We were talking so much we missed our time and had to wait for the next tour LOL!  We spent about 6 hours together that day and decided we wanted to meet again.  I drove to Tomahawk a few weeks later and spent the weekend.  He was and still is a perfect gentleman:-)

They had their first date on Valentine's Day

“5 years ago I looked on FarmersOnly out of curiosity. I had no idea it would lead me to where we are now. We're celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary in July. We are so grateful for your help.” - Amy.

What did you do on your first date?
We actually just spent time at his place. It was Valentine's day and our date got pushed later and later that day. We lived an hour apart so I spent the weekend with him on the farm. It was amazing.

When did you know that he was the one?
I was very apprehensive initially. I wasn't looking for serious, just kinda looked one night, (bored, not Interested), and his picture popped up. A week later, it really was true love.

How did he propose? Were you surprised?
We had already picked out rings. I was leaving after a weekend visit and asked if I could just see it before I left. When he got it out then he proposed and I was a bit surprised. Took my breath away and maybe cry at the same time.

What is your favorite thing about each other?
That everything is so natural.

Tell us more about your wedding!
It was very small at our church with our pastor and family. It was perfect.

They Talked Online For a Year Before They Met In Person

“In 2014 my coworkers decided that I needed to start dating after being in a nine-year relationship. I came back to work and they had hacked into my email and starting account on FarmersOnly. I went to my supervisor immediately because I had a ton of messages from guys and told him that my email had been hacked and he just laughed at me. He explained in front of everyone that they had started dating profile for me. I finally met my now husband after talking to him online for a year. I never dreamed that I would meet him, I came up with every lie and scenario just so I didn’t have to. He messaged me in December and said he was coming to Dallas for a Dallas football game. I happened to be going because my mom had come in from Iowa and that was her Christmas present. Add up all of the hundreds of thousands of people I could’ve met that day, and I met him in Arlington, Texas at the AT&T Stadium. It was game over from that day because he won my heart. He grew up around rodeo and I was raised around cattle and showing livestock. We got engaged in November 2015, married in April of 2016 and had our first baby girl in October 2018. Little did I know that in 2015 I would have a full double mastectomy, the day after we got engaged. Could not ask for a better husband, he has been supportive with all of my 16 breast surgeries, my number one supporter, the best husband to me and father to our baby.” - Jodi

When did you know that he was the one?
When he met my mom and saw the way he treated her

How did he propose? Were you surprised?
We were taking family pictures and he arranged it with the photographer and had the ring in his boot/pant leg. Yes I was shocked.

He's got all he'll ever need, thanks to the keeper of the stars

“In March of 2018 I was looking for a serious relationship, I wasn’t looking to date just to have a fling, I wanted to be done looking and was looking for marriage. I also wanted someone with the same interests as me, who loved to work with horses and cattle as much as I did, then I met my now husband, Wrangler, a few days after setting up my FarmersOnly account and just shy of 10 months after met we got married December 21st! He’s everything I’ve ever wanted, and loves to work with horses and cattle as much as I do! What’s crazy to think is how we were just 4 miles from not meeting with both of our locations set on 300 miles. Thanks FarmersOnly!” - Jacki

What did you do on your first date?
For our first date we went to the movies, then drove an extra 15 miles up to the Canadian Border and he told me to get out of the vehicle, (it was March 29th in North Dakota so very cold haha!) He then proceeded to roll down the windows and play the song "Keeper of the Stars" and we danced in the headlights under the stars and it will be a moment I will forever cherish and hold dear to my heart.

When did you know that he was the one?
I knew he was the one 4 days after we viewed each others profiles and started talking. We were both open and vulnerable with each other and I never would have imagined someone I could trust and open up to the way I was able to and felt with Wrangler.

How did he propose? Were you surprised?
The proposal was a complete surprise, I knew he was the one, I just didn't know when he was actually going to ask. From June until October I was in Missouri for Basic Training and AIT. The beginning of October I had a 4 day weekend and he got a hold of some buddies of mine to come down, they worked the whole thing out with me not having a clue, he drove 16 hours overnight and walked up behind me where I was sitting at a park and asked me to be his wife!! It was a surreal moment!!

What is your favorite thing about each other?
I can't say I have a favorite thing about Wrangler, he's always up to surprises which I like, and he's the most loving, caring and understanding person I've ever met. I love everything about him inside and out. As for his favorite thing about me, it's probably my personality or my smile. He is currently at Basic himself so I can't even answer that for sure.

Our Wedding was December 21st in North Dakota, it was a rustic/western wedding. It was cold as usual for winter time but our family, friends and loved ones who shared our day with us made it warm and it will be a day I will never forget. There was a lot of laughter and jokes to go around and there was dancing and people breaking out of their shells and having a good time. We wanted to make sure Christ was the main focus of our wedding ceremony and reception and you can definitely tell He was. It was overall a wonderful day!

He was sent by an angel

“I met my now husband, Jim, on FarmersOnly.com! A friend told me she was going to put me on this dating site and I told her I would go on for one month if she'd leave me alone! So I did and Jim and I talked for two weeks before we officially met for dinner. The strange thing is my best friend from elementary school always told me she was going to find me a good man and I would know that she sent him to me because he would have Angel Wings! Well after we had dinner and before we left the restaurant I received a phone call from my best friend's daughter that she had passed away. So I guess she did send me an angel. He proposed to me in front of my family and friends on Thanksgiving 2017 and we were married on the anniversary of our first date. He is definitely my soul mate and my forever.” - Kathy

What did you do on your first date?
We met at a halfway point since he lived in St. Cloud and I lived in Ocala and had dinner at Outback in Clermont on June 16, 2017

When did you know that he was the one?
When we went away together for the first time for the weekend to Daytona Beach. We enjoyed the sunrises along the beach and never disagreed on a thing!  He made every moment seem like I was the only woman on earth.

How did he propose?
In front of all my family and his on Thanksgiving 2017 as each one of us said what we were thankful for - he went last and had the most amazing things to say and then went down on one knee! Were you surprised? Surprised doesn't really cover it!  Shocked is a better word.  And he had actually asked my mother's permission prior to Thanksgiving to get her blessing. :-)

What is your favorite thing about each other?
That we both work hard and have the same goals!  We enjoy being with each other and vacationing!!  We are both family-orientated and enjoy doing things together.  Our calendar is always full!
